It’s officially November, so the chances of catching a cold or flu have become inevitably increased. One way to fight off sickness, or prevent it from catching on in the first place, is filling your body with nutrient-filled and immune-boosting foods. Smoothies are one of the most effective and tastiest ways to do this, and this anti-sickness smoothie is one I always blend up when I feel like I’m coming down with something.
Mandarin oranges are loaded with antioxidants; ginger boosts your immune system; mango and coconut water are filled with nutrients that promote a healthy body; and bananas have been found to give you more energy and improve your mood, which are both important when you’re feeling sick.
Make this smoothie for yourself for breakfast in the morning or after a workout and fight sickness all season long!
- 2 mandarin oranges
- 1 banana
- half cup frozen mango
- 1 tsp ginger (or to taste)
- coconut water
- Mix together
- Fight-off sicknesses all season long!
