Confidence is not something that comes easily to me and to be honest, it never really has. Finding my confidence has been a journey and a half but despite all of the ups and downs, I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

 

These days, I have what makes me feel confident nailed down to a bit of a routine and it has become incredibly important to me to make that routine a priority. I was amazed at how impactful it felt to place that importance on me, my mind, my body, and my soul.

 

So today I want to welcome you to a day in my life and introduce you to #MyConfidenceChecklist because I want YOU to learn how to find your confidence too.

On a daily basis, I find myself in a million different situations that test my confidence. Even a girl’s day out with one of my best friends calls for a run-down of my most important steps towards confidence.

 

These steps are more than just a cute outfit and a good hair day, these are my priorities that I invest time, money and energy in because I know they will have a deep, meaningful and long-lasting impact on my spirit.

 

 

#MyConfidenceChecklist

 

  1. I start my day the only way I could possibly imagine – with God. I take a few moments every morning to reconnect with myself, my goals, my needs, and my purpose. If you are not religious just take a moment to think about the beautiful things that make you, YOU!

 

  1. I nourish my body by drinking a glass of water. I love to start my morning with hydration to kick to my metabolism.

 

  1. I pamper my skin with my morning routine that consists of oils, serums, and creams meant to nourish, hydrate, and replenish.

  1. Next is one of the most important steps in my routine – tending to my smile. Good dental care is so incredibly impactful, yet it is often left to the wayside and it’s time for that to change.

 

Your teeth are one of the first things that people notice about you and they are also one of the biggest sources of insecurity in men and women alike. I spent years being ashamed of my smile for a number of reasons but when I made the decision to invest in my smile – everything changed.

 

Committing myself to a thorough cleansing routine twice a day as well as regular dental appointments has helped me blossom into a more confident woman. I’m no longer afraid to laugh without inhibition, smile without fear, and let my teeth shine through.

 

Steps 5, 6 & 7 are the perfect finishing touches each adding a bit of strength to my confidence armor. A touch of makeup, a curl in my hair and an outfit that makes me stand tall – now I can walk out the door and face any situation that might come my way.

 

My checklist gives me the power to be free, feel empowered, and enjoy every second of those girl’s day out adventures (including the multiple cups of coffee).
