If there’s one thing I can’t resist, it’s chocolate. Milk chocolate, semisweet chocolate, chocolate bars, chocolate truffles, chocolate cookies…you get the idea. I love it all! So, when I sat down to think of the ultimate ladies night party, chocolate was the first thing to come to mind. It’s impossible to go wrong when you have a dessert buffet and your favourite girlfriends over for the evening to share laughs, memories and chocolate. To help you plan your own Chocolate Tasting Party, we have some free printables for you (invitation, food labels and treat boxes) plus lots of recipes, DIY decorating ideas and more. Let’s jump right into it!

Chocolate Tasting Party:

Besides the obvious (chocolate), there are a few items you need to set up your chocolate tasting party. For decorating, I always go to my local home decorating and craft stores to pick up supplies. For this party backdrop, I used black foam poster boards from the local dollar store, three different types of ribbon plus some bling embellishment from the local craft store.

I found some great charger plates from the craft store and paired them with simple, plain white dishes from home to hold all the treats. A pretty & easy way to add height to your party table is with candlesticks. I used candlesticks to turn the charger plates into cake stands. I always stock up on candlesticks when I find stylish ones at the home decorating or craft stores.

As you can imagine, planning all these fun parties for the blog requires a lot of shopping. I do love shopping but when my arms are filled with purchases and I have a long to-do list, I appreciate convenience wherever I can get it. This is one reason why I use Interac Flash®. Interac Flash is the fast, easy and secure way to pay. To pay with Interac Flash, simply hover and hold (or briefly hold) your Interac Flash enabled Debit card above the payment terminal. You’ll hear a brief beep to let you know it was accepted and that’s it! No need to enter your PIN but don’t worry – it’s still a secure way to pay. Interac Flash incorporates all the built-in protection of Interac Debit with even more protective measures to ensure your money is always safe. Chocolate Tasting Party Recipes:

When it comes to a menu for your chocolate tasting party, the options really are endless. You can do like I did and spend the afternoon baking some of your favourite treats or you could go with convenience and pick up chocolates at a specialty chocolate or candy store. Either way, you’re going to need a lot of chocolate plus maybe a few extras for taste testing. No judgement here. {wink}

For this party, I went with a couple of no bake treats like simple chocolate-coated strawberries and the incredibly easy Oreo Truffles. The Oreo Truffles are made with just 3 ingredients – you’ll find the recipe here.

Next up is one of my favourite brownie recipes – Chocolate Caramel Brownies. Extra napkins required but worth every bite.

Next up is my dad’s favourite, Marshmallow Crisp Fudge! Seriously addictive.

Next up are these irresistible Milk Chocolate Cookies. Milk for dunking is purely optional!

Then last, but certainly not least, are these Chocolate Cupcakes with Chocolate Whipped Cream Frosting. This chocolate whipped cream works great as a fruit dip too! {recipe link to follow}

This is one party you won’t mind having leftovers at! But to save yourself those extra calories and hours on the treadmill, you can use our free printable “Totally Worth The Calories” favour boxes to send some leftover treats home with your guests.

So…who is ready for baking? I’ll race you to the grocery store! On your mark, get set, GO!
