My Look: Dress c/o Hatley

Today was one of those really hard days as a mom. It was hot and humid and since the moment we woke up the world seemed mad at me. Poppy has yet to develop the token ‘fussy time’ but each day we seem to be getting closer to it. Today she was fussy, so fussy that she wouldn’t let me put her down, not even for a second. This in turn made me hot and grumpy. On top of dealing with a poor 3 week old who can’t vocalize why she was so miserable, Aubrey has seemed to hit that first born moment. The one where he realizes that Poppy isn’t going anywhere. Because of this, every time she needed my attention, which was pretty much all morning, he would throw a fit and need me all to himself. On top of this, the drop off at daycare was even worse with him grabbing my leg and screaming bloody murder as I tried to walk out the door. Needless to say, I cried the whole drive into the city…
