It’s been a few months since I started working from home. And it can either be a good thing or bad thing, especially if this is your first time doing it. Regular 9-5 working hours can spread out into the wee hours of the night with a work from home job. It will start to feel like it’s eating at your “after work” hours if you don’t lay down some ground rules to keep yourself sane and at your happiest. Here is what I’ve learned about how to make the most out of working from home.

  1. Stay Off Social Media – In order to be the most efficient at your job, you need to work without the distraction that is social media. It is not hard for anyone to get sucked into what’s going on online and spend hours just browsing photos for hours without knowing it. I’m not saying to completely ignore it, but just schedule your social media time for your breaks and off-time so you can focus on your work when you need to.
  2. Set Your Work Schedule – I’ve been known to work crazy hours because I wanted the work to be done and off my plate before I go to sleep. But that’s not always a good idea. You really need to set your work schedule and stick to it. Don’t forget – you do need your ‘me’ time!…
