When the summer months roll around and the kiddo’s are either out of school or need to be kept busy, I have the perfect list of things for you to do in and around the city. Look forward to both a mix of fun in the sun, and interactive hands on activities, because all parents know we need creative ways to entertain and tire out our children!

1. The Clay Room
The Clay Room is a super simple and fun way to spend the day with your kids. You get to buy an inexpensive piece of ceramic ware and decorate it using various paints and materials. It is a great way to get the creative juices in your child flowing, creating a keep sake that will last a life time!

2. Royal Ontario Museum
The ROM is a must! Stop off at the James and Louise Temerty Galleries of the Age of Dinosaurs at the ROM for a fun day of exploration and extinction. Adults and kids alike are able to explore the Jurassic and Cretaceous time periods. All I remember is my son Michael saying, “Mom, this is SO COOL!” I am not sure who was more amused, but you will get to see everything from abnormally large dinosaur fossils, to insects, marine life and fossilized plants…
